Founded in New York, RTE operated there for decades before Michael Diamond relocated the company’s operations to York, South Carolina, where we continue to serve customers throughout the United States and around the world.

For nearly a century, Republic Textile Equipment has remained committed to one goal: providing dependable equipment solutions for textile manufacturers, plant operators, lenders, and investors worldwide.

Since our inception, RTE has handled all types of used textile machinery, ranging from individual machines to full plant inventories. We were the first used textile machinery dealer to export equipment worldwide, and we remain one of the largest exporters of used textile machinery today.

Republic Textile Equipment operates out of a major facility in York, South Carolina, utilizing over 100,000 square feet for administrative operations, equipment sales, and warehousing.

In addition, Republic rents another 70,000 square feet of warehouse space to support our extensive inventory and customer needs.

We take pride in maintaining clean, organized facilities, and our staff works continually to ensure all work areas remain professional and efficient.

Due to major international trade agreements such as NAFTA and GATT, the American textile market experienced significant disruption, resulting in numerous plant closures and forced equipment sell-offs.
